INTRODUCING: Karin, Rue Photographer
Rue’s loaded with amazing, talented artists. In almost every corner you look, there’s incredible talent showcasing itself. So while their day-to-day is all about getting Rue’s Boutiques up and running, here’s a little more about what they do outside of Rue.
Hometown: Newton, MA
Current Home Base: Newton, MA
The coolest project you’ve ever worked on (besides Rue, of course): For the last year, I’ve been working on a series of portraits using a mix of real-life watercolors and digital, Photoshop brushwork.
Off-duty pastime: I have regular date nights with Photoshop. I constantly post to Twitter. I am a die-hard New England Patriots fan.
Best advice you’ve ever been given: Work hard and be nice to people.
Dream profession if you weren’t a photographer: I would like to be one of Janet Jackson’s back-up dancers.
Most difficult location to shoot: In the photo pit of a metal show – crowd surfers, unidentified flying objects, bodily fluids. You get the picture.
Favorite city in the world: Cairo, Egypt. I’ve never been. It’s on the bucket list.
The song that would make up the soundtrack of your life: How about anything by Maxwell, Jill Scott, or Chrisette Michele…
